Now that you are well into your decluttering you might discover you don’t need quite as much furniture as you used to. Think about it, one less bookshelf = lots more space.

Furniture is a tough one for some people. There are storage units full of household goods that people think they might use one day. Remember, the costs of storage can quickly overtake the value even if it seems ‘too good’ to throw away.

People who have had to flee their homes and start again often have very little in the way of furniture and would love your old couch/dressing table/bookshelf.

Do a quick search and you will find some charities will even pick pieces up. Decluttering doesn’t get any easier than that.
