Declutter for a Cause – Day 7: Winter Attire

Declutter for a Cause – Day 7. Time to turn your attention to your wardrobe. Gulp… for some people this will be a big job. Fear not. Over the next few days we are going to break down the full horror of wardrobe decluttering into easy, manageable tasks.

Let’s take a small step by removing some bulk. Winter coats and chunky jumpers are first on the hit list.

If you haven’t worn it in a year then we strongly urge you to consider donating it to a charity that outfits homeless people with warm coats for winter.

Do you have beanies, warm hats, gloves and scarves that you really just don’t wear? Add these to your giving – people sleeping rough will really appreciate the extra warmth.

We know first-hand how much difference warm clothing makes when you spend nights on the streets. In the past few years, the Founder of the m.a.d.woman Foundation has slept out eight times in mid-winter in three cities, across two countries, to raise funds and awareness for homelessness issues.

She’s seen how just a couple of bad decisions or situations could see any of us without a home. Let’s do our best to protect our most vulnerable citizens who are in that situation today.
