If you missed it, WATCH US (here) on CHANNEL 7 NEWS!
The story features our m.a.d. kid ambassadors Maddy, 12, and Teegs, 10, as they showcase their amazing efforts to help 1000 Australian kids with our Pencil Case Project (and the Hair to Help Project which is helping to fund it).
The girls could still use your help to share, donate and buy from them to help reach their target! They are aiming to increase their total by at least $1650.
These inspirational sisters have been incredibly busy making 1000 hair accessories (along with some made by lovely volunteers) to raise money to get their Pencil Case Project over the line before the year is out.
For the second year in a row, Maddy and her sister Teegs are working hard to provide 1000 (YES ONE THOUSAND) Australian children in foster care and facing other challenges with handmade pencil cases filled with new school supplies. The pencil case bags have all been made by volunteers.
Three ways you can help them reach their goal BEFORE their deadline.
1. DONATE – $10 will sponsor one pencil case. You can make an anonymous donation or leave a message of encouragement for the girls. Either way it’s tax deductible. https://www.mycause.com.au/page/213639/kids-helping-kids
2. BUY from the HAIR TO HELP PROJECT- for yourself, family and friends. These are awesome gifts, fashion statements and practical hair accessories (scrunchies, hair ties and bows). Some are even made with rescued fabric, so they are also kind to the environment!
3. BUY HAIR TO HELP PROJECT boxes for your BUSINESS. You buy a box or more from the girls and sell the contents through your business.
The HAIR TO HELP PROJECT accessories are $50 for a box of 10 that have been selected by the girls. A huge thanks to our lovely friends at @AltoPrint for creating these awesome stickers for the Hair to Help Packs!
You can buy them from here https://shop.madwoman.com.au/collectio…/hair-to-help-project (Australia only).
We think Maddy and Teegs are amazing. Please help them hit their goal.
